THE KITT’S TRAILER project is a personal environment art piece inspired by Western film, the isolation of a rodeo kings past and the song “My Life in Art” by Mojave 3. A trailer comprised of lonely cigarette smoke, sun lit card games and champion plaques hidden in shadow. Kitt’s trailer is an immersive story driven environment where the viewer is asked to come to their own conclusion on who Kitt is and what he’s doing out west.

DEVELOPMENT

The stacked tables and cluttered bathroom of Kitt’s trailer was inspired by the backstory of Kitt and his reasoning for being lost out west.

Character Background Write Up:

Kitt Wrangler was a rodeo champion, now washed up and longing to linger in his famed past. Consumed by alcohol and cigarettes he now lives in a small trailer in Wyoming between snow kissed mountains and wide endless grass plains. While he has a fling here and there, he spends most of his days alone hoping to escape the life of isolation he has found himself in. At roughly 38, his only connection to the outside world is a pen pal from his days on the circuit, whose letters are pinned to the board next to his bed. The materials that comprise his trailer are is rough wood, linoleum tile, fraying wool, leather and steel.
